Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust is one of the largest teaching hospitals in Europe: a regional and national centre for specialist treatment, a world renowned biomedical research facility, a leading clinical trials research unit and the local hospital for the Leeds community.
Our commitment to investing in digital transformation for the benefit of patients and staff is critical to achieving our Trust goals: to be the best for patient safety, quality and experience; to be a centre of excellence for specialist services, research, education and innovation; to offer seamless integrated care; to be financially sustainable and to be the best place to work. Our ability to achieve these goals in line with our values, ‘The Leeds Way’, is paramount.
We have one of the most engaged workforces across the entire NHS and an enviable track record of developing digital innovation including our electronic patient record PPM+. Matt Hancock Secretary of State for Health and Social Care commented that he was “blown away by the tech at Leeds Hospitals” following his visit last year. Leeds is a city of digital innovation with 22% of the digital health jobs in the UK and a connected care record across all health and care providers. We are a key member of the West Yorkshire and Harrogate Integrated Care System and Yorkshire and Humber Local Health and Care Record Exemplar.
Reporting directly to Chief Executive Julian Hartley as a key member of his executive team, you will provide visionary strategic leadership for digital and information services. You will be an exceptional, strategic CDIO with an unquestionable reputation for defining and delivering innovative and far reaching digital and information strategies in support of clinical excellence in the NHS. To this end, you will be credible at all levels, from ward to Board and an inspiring leader of people, able to define and implement transformative change whilst creating the conditions for continuous improvement.
You will be an exceptional leader of people. You will operate with high levels of integrity and drive, whilst exploiting your first class commercial and technical skill sets to deliver required outcomes for the Trust. With clear personal expertise, you will be entrepreneurial, able to think laterally to deliver clever solutions to a broad range of challenges and opportunities. A talented relationship builder, you will also be able to forge strong working relationships and alliances with a range of partners and suppliers to secure cooperation for change, ultimately delivering a technology and informatics architecture that puts the patient at the heart of activity whilst supporting our world class teams to deliver optimum outcomes for the people we treat.
This is an outstanding opportunity to join one of the largest, most high profile trusts in the UK at an extremely important point in our evolution.
